Frequently Asked Questions
- What's the purpose of this site?
Art From Everyone is here for two reasons: to serve as an online display case, and provide art tutorials on a semi-regular basis.
- What are FCSN and Miller Art Club?
FCSN (Friends for Children with Special Needs) is a charitable organization dedicated to providing for children who are disabled, mentally or physically. The organization holds art classes for students, where they make a variety of art like ceramic sculptures and paintings.
The Miller Art Club is a weekly club held at Joaquin Miller Middle School in the library. It is primarily a friendly environment for students who don't have friends or anywhere to go for lunch. We teach the students one aspect of drawing every week. All tutorials uploaded here are based on the most important lesson we gave to these students that month.
- How can I request a tutorial?
Just fill out the form in the "Contact" tab. Please include the topic you want and any other minor requests in the "Comments" field. Topics should not be extremely broad or narrow. For example, "How to Draw Faces" is too general and will be a very long tutorial. "How to Draw my Mom's Face" is too specific. "How to Draw Male Faces" is OK.
- How can I have my art featured?
Depending on where you made the art, your teachers/guardians may not allow you to publish your art online. If you plan on submitting a piece to an art contest, DO NOT publish it anywhere.
Step 2: Decide on how you want to be credited
The default credit is your first name and the first initial of your last name. If you want to be credited with your full name or just initials, please put this in the "Comments" field.
Step 3: Include a link to your image
You can privately host a photo or scan of your art on Flickr. Include the image URL in the "Comments" field to speed up the uploading process.
